Barrio: La Esperanza, Copan Ruinas, Honduras
This child was brought to our headquarters presenting with a large tumor centrally located over her spine and lower back about 4 centimeters above the sacrum and spanning the lumber vertebrae over L1 through L4. Upon palpation this tumor presents as a solid mass, and results in no pain to the child. All other vitals were normal. In addition to this, the child has a deformity of the right foot. We have had extensive experiences with the children of this village and see a lot of vitamin deficiencies in this area.
We are seeking a definitive diagnosis for this child in order to plan a course of treatment. Please see photos below
